ProClean Supply

Meet The Summerfields

James - CEO

James has been in the building maintenance and sanitation field since 1963. He founded Modesto Janitorial Supply, now ProClean Supply, in 1978. With his strong background in the janitorial industry, he has the knowledge and expertise to help customers overcome building maintenance issues. James acts as an advisor to the company’s outside consulting team, assisting them in providing solutions to customers’ challenges. One of his success stories is about an educational facility that had 20 years of coffee stains in the carpet. Over the years, the school maintenance people made numerous attempts to remove the stains but were unsuccessful. “We removed them in a few minutes and they never came back,” he recalls. A North Dakota farm boy, James has lived in Modesto since 1971. He enjoys teaching the Bible and helping people deal with their challenges.

Joel

Joel learned the janitorial supply business from the ground up. “I’ve always had a role here,” he says. He started working for his dad’s company, then known as Modesto Janitorial Supply, during high school doing everything from working in the warehouse to helping customers, repairing vacuums and even some bookkeeping. After a stint as a software trainer, he joined the family business and today he oversees sales and marketing, customer service and IT. The variety suits him just fine – “I really enjoy having different challenges every day.” Joel especially likes to help customers solve problems, like the woman with severe allergy problems who needed a vacuum. “I sold her a Miele, and now every time I see her she thanks me,” says Joel. When he’s not helping customers solve their cleaning problems, he unwinds by listening to music, cooking, doing yoga or riding his motorcycle.

Justin

As purchasing and logistics manager for ProClean Supply, Justin is always up for the challenge of making sure “everything comes in and everything goes out.” A problem-solver, he enjoys being able to overcome any obstacle to ensure that ProClean Supply's customers always get what they need, when they need it. Justin joined the family business while in high school and learned the ropes by working in a variety of areas. With all that experience under his belt, he's well qualified for his position to oversee purchasing and warehouse operations. Born and raised in Modesto, he loves the outdoors and is an avid scuba diver, hiker and mountain biker.

Consultants

Lavona Carter
A self-described people person, Lavona enjoys building relationships with customers. An inside consultant, she handles sales and solves problems by phone. “The buck usually stops on my desk,” she says. Her philosophy: do whatever it takes to make the customer happy. And that’s what she’s been doing at ProClean Supply since 2000.

Steve Davis
Steve is dedicated to maintaining good rapport with his current customers while growing his sales territory, which includes Davis, Sacramento, Lodi and Stockton. A problem solver, he helped the Elk Grove School District go green by introducing them to EnvirOx products. Steve also enjoys fishing and auto racing.

Fernando Gamez
Prior to joining ProClean Supply in the summer of 2012, Fernando had his own electrical service business. Now, his focus is on providing laundry and ware wash programs that are both effective and environmentally safe. Fernando enjoys developing relationships with customers and solving problems. Married, with one daughter (plus a dog and 2 cats), he’s passionate about his health and fitness.

John Ghormley
A real pro in the Jan/San business, John’s been at it since 1978. He services the Fresno area and enjoys helping customers with cleaning challenges. As just one example of his dedication to clients – he implemented a system to restore wooden stage floors in schools and the system was so successful, that now its is in use district-wide.

Bob Guenther
AKA Mountain Bob, calls on schools, casinos and other small businesses in Sonora, Tuolumne and Amador counties. He has worked to streamline his customers’ cleaning programs and describes his job as “exciting and challenging.” A Modesto native, Bob enjoys sports and being a big part of his grandkids’ lives.

Dave Hart
Since joining ProClean Supply in 2004, Dave has covered the Modesto-Turlock-Riverbank-Oakdale territory … including Manteca. He has a passion for teaching customers how to deal safely with their many cleaning challenges. Dave is married to “the best cook I’ve ever known,” his wife Cathy.

Fabiana Lamonte
“A sales consultant is really a problem solver,” says Fabiana who joined ProClean Supply in 2016. She specializes in Laundry and Warewash, which includes any type of facility that has a dishwasher or washing machine, she explains. When a prospective client showed her a stack of laundry with stains she did a demo using one of our laundry products and turned a prospect into a happy customer. She not only loves to make customers smile, she also loves the outdoors, dancing, art, traveling…and shoes!

Mark Souza
For Mark, the best part of his job is working with customers to evaluate their needs and making recommendations that help them achieve their goals. He also enjoys developing training programs to ensure success for their employees. In his free time, Mark restores classic cars – he’s currently working on a 1950 Buick. “It’s like restoring history,” he says.

Customer Service / Administration

Tamico Clay
“This position is just the way I like it—busy,” says Tamico. In addition to her bookkeeping responsibilities she also “dabbles” in HR duties and employee safety training. Tamico joined ProClean Supply in the spring of 2016, and she enjoys helping customers keep their accounts current by giving them friendly reminders via phone or email, at their request. In her spare time, she teaches the Bible, watches sports and plays tennis and basketball.

Connie Dirks
Connie brings more than 27 years of experience to her role in customer service. Since joining ProClean Supply in 2007, she has worked closely with our sales consultants and the executive team, and loves helping people solve their cleaning challenges. When one customer was having problems finishing his garage floor, she recommended the right products and gave him step-by-step tips. He was thrilled with the results.

Alfonso Jimenez
Alfonso, aka The Big Dog, is ProClean Supply’s customer service and sales front man. “I take care of people who walk in the showroom door,” he says. His outgoing personality puts customers at ease. “They come in with a problem, and walk out with a solution. Then they come back and say thank you,” he adds. A native of Modesto, Alfonso loves animals—he currently has a pit bull and two Chihuahuas. He also enjoys family time, the outdoors, basketball and barbecuing.

Eli Sandoval
Eli, ProClean’s Customer Service Manager, finds it very rewarding to help people with their cleaning challenges. Since joining the company in 2006, he’s been advising commercial and residential customers. For example, when a customer needed help getting dark stains out of a floor, Eli showed him some options which enabled him to get the job done. When he isn’t solving customers’ problems, Eli enjoys his ministry, staying fit, and spending time with his wife Rachel and their ornery bunny, Chopper.
